Founded by John Sharon, who has lived with a physical disability all his life, DisabilitiesUnderstood seeks to:

• Promote understanding about disabilities in general
• Educate the non-disabled about the interdependence of all people
• Share resources for the disabled and non-disabled alike

John has worked in education for more than 30 years as a teacher, administrator, coach, speaker, workshop leader, and diversity trainer. He is uniquely qualified to help connect the Worlds of Same and Different because he has lived in them every day of his life.
